Hey Guys,
So I'm so pumped on life right now it's not even funny! Here is my life in point form!
*-*I just got back last Tuesday from being on Tour with Paul Potts and the Three Graces. For those of you who don't know who they are, Paul Potts is this year's winner of "britain's got talent", an american idol-esque show in the UK with Simon Cowell as one of the Judges. He did a north-american tour, and I was hired on for the Canadian leg of to do hair for a singing group called Three Graces. They're not super well known yet but I'm sure that they will be big one day soon. They will be singing in New York for the Pope when he visits the U.S along with Kelly Clarkson and Harry Connick Jr on April 19th or something.I'm really glad to have met them, and to have had the experiences i had while on tour with them.
*-*I can now cross a couple more cities off of my list of places to go and things to see before I turn 25.
*-*Graeme and I are leaving for our trip to Toronto on Monday and I can't wait to go shopping and just be out of the city for a bit.
*-*For the first time in who knows how long, I DON'T feel stressed about money. I've got my finances in a place that I'm very happy about and I feel like the weight of the world has been lifted off my shoulders.
*-*I've started doing hot yoga on a regular basis, as well as regular cardio, and I'm seeing results already, and very happy about my long-term lifestyle change. It's taken a while to really be in the full swing of things, but now that stuff like my finances and whatnot aren't stressing me out, I can just focus on taking care of myself, and spending quality time with people that I care about.
I'm really happy. After going through a couple of really bad years with my parents being sick, money troubles, changes in relationships with people who were very close to me, trying to figure out who I am right now and whatnot, i just feel like shouting from the mountain tops how great I feel. I mean i know there are still things to work on but know one has any idea how much i appreciate the fact that I can go to bed at night without staying up late worrying about something.

This entry will be done in point form.
-I am determined to be happy.
-I'm slowly but surely climbing out of the little rut I have been in, and even though my arms hurt, i will keep going till i break through to the surface.
-I am sooooooooo confused about one aspect of my life right now, and i'm very afraid to address it.
-Ice cream is awesome and so is blue cheese.
-I have decided that i LOVE going out. I dont' do it often, BUT i really really like going out and being around people.
-I hate a handful of people at work, and it's just that much harder to get up in the morning and bus my ass to work because of it.
-I've decided to not even make eye contact with these people, and not even acknowlege them. It's working well so far:)
-I have used "I" to begin every sentence in the entry.

So it's november 11th, and as per usual that means that i'm in calgary for my Grandma's birthday. This year she turns 90, which is pretty crazy.
My cousin's kid is pretty much the funniest thing ever. She looks exactly like my cousin, only...smaller...
Anyways, it's good seeing my family again, especially jon and maelene. Maelene is going to school to become a stylist, and might be doing an internship at Flare sometime in the near future which would be sweet. Its really cold here surprisingly and lots of snow. My aunts left this morning for Banff and Lake Louise, but i didn't wake up early enough to go, which kinda bums me out, but it's not like i haven't been there like a million times already.

In other news, i'm going to be seeing Misery Signals tonight, which i'm super pumped on. Should be a good show:)

All i want to do is sit in my bed and cuddle. mayhaps take a nap, or maybe even watch a movie, but the weather outside is definitely "stay warm in your bed" weather, or "go for a nice walk and drink hot tea afterward" weather. At least thats what it looked like this morning.
I've been stuck in the salon the last couple hours and i have no idea what it's like outside right now. Blah...

So my trip to florida is almost over.
Tomorrow is Independance day, and our last day here.
Today my cousins and i went to south beach and dropped by the Miami Ink shop.
Kat was being filmed outside of the shop talking bout how she always wanted a career like this "being able to hang with the boys" and the like, and then Ami came out and we took a picture with him. He was taller than i expected, but that's not a bad thing though. Yeah, i dunno, he didn't say anything really. Said some stuff in Hebrew to some guy who was there, and then posed with us. We said thank you, he said "your welcome" and then that was it. Highlight of my trip kids...
My hair color is fading, and i need a manicure and pedicure before i start work. Blarg, i'm in some rough shape right now:P haha, totally in "vacation mode" right now, and will be until at least tomorrow.
Anyways i am sleepy now. Goodnight.

Hello all!
Here i am in humid, hot, sweaty florida! It's been fun. Here are the highlights of my trip so far!
ORANGE LAKE RESORT:
-this is one sweetass resort we're staying at. It's a resort that offers time shares, and while we were here, my mom bought one! so that means, we can go away anywhere in the world once a year, and have a place to stay. I'M EXCITED!!!
-there are like 5 pools in our complex, and some sweet inner tube things.
-sweet accomodations:D they even had plates, pans and utensils for us:)
National Aeronautics and Space Administration...aka, NASA:
-we got to take a tour of the original command station from the apollo 11 launch in 1957. It was the coolest thing, everything was almost completely left the way it was that day.
-i saw an actual space shuttle that was actually launched in to space and then came back.
-i was 2 feet away from the original space rover that was sent in to the moon.
-i ate astronaut food, and brought back astronaut ice cream.
-we saw the space shuttle discovery, and we were gonna see it get launched this afternoon, however it was cloudy and they won't be doing it until tuesday and i wont be here.
Disneyworld!!!!
-holy crap it's friggin huge!
-i really really like animals, and at disney's animal kingdom, my cousins and i went on a safari, and were able to get super close to some of the world's most endangered species, and there wasn't a cage or anything inbetween. I waslike 3 feet away from a gigantic white rhino! not to mention a giraffe, lion, a 20 foot alligator, about 4 elephants and some others.
-sweet rides like Fast Track, which goes 100miles an hour in some parts, and Exhibition Everest i am totally addicted to now. I looked so funny in my picture.
-eating 2 churros was awesome.
-Soarin was a sweet simulator ride. It basically makes you feel like you're flying all over these different places and even completes the experience with making it smell like the place your flying over. For example, when we flew over an orange field, it smelled like oranges.
-the world showcases at Epcot were amazing! We went to Germany, Morocco, France, the UK, China, Japan and even Canada, but that one was sort of boring.
-I like Disneyworld...and i met snow white.
-We were so early the first day that we were there, that the characters greeted us at the gate.
And now i'm in miami resting...more to come later!!!

Lots of stuff going on.
-I didn't make the $2000 goal for the weekend to end breast cancer, but all donations i DID make are in, and once again i want to thank every single person who helped raise that money. Regardless of whether or not i made the goal, i'm insanely proud of what was made because it was no little sum of money.
-moving out this weekend! *crosses fingers* Cole and I painted 2 of my walls on Monday morning, and it took a lot more time than we thought. Last night Graeme, Jason and I painted another wall, the third coat of the first two and the fuse box cabinet...now all that's left is the trim and doors. Then we move my stuff on Sunday! Feel free to come help me kids;)
-I wish i made more money.
-Disneyworld on the 24th!!! I'm also going to make a point to make a visit to "Gatorland".
-In about an hour i should be going back to my natural hair color. No more blonde!!:D I would like to be blonde again one day, but i think that i'm going to wait until my hair feels healthy again.
-I'm sleepy.

First things first...
I'M GOING TO FREAKING DISNEYWORLD!!!
yep...Disneyworld kids! I'll be heading over to the magic kingdom on June 24th, for a couple days and then driving back to miami where i will board a cruise ship TO THE BAHAMAS!!!
I'm so happy right now it doesn't even really make sense. There are so many things to be looking forward to in the next couple of months, and it feels really good.
It's been a long time since there has been anything to really look forward to and be excited about in the last little while. Mostly just waiting on test results and hoping the stress of having two sick parents doesn't give me an emotional breakdown. Both my parents are coming on this trip and i couldn't be happier to be going on a family vacation. We can just leave everything behind for a good couple of days and just do regular family things.
Other things i'm looking forward to include my "big move". Frodo, Eragon, Gandalf, Falkor, Shadowfax, Mandragora, and I are leaving my gigantic apartment on oh so fancy ruskin row in about 1.5 weeks, and moving in to Jason's old room. It's not far away from my old place, so at least i'll be able to hang out with the kids every now and then when i miss them. i will have wicked awesome roomates as well, and so that'll make things nice and exciting. It's pretty boring living on your own when you don't even have cable to keep you kinda entertained:P
Anyways...I've been thinking a lot about my future in the last little while. I've decided that as much as i LOVE babies and kids, i doubt that i will be settling down before i'm 30. I know some of the best years of my life are going to be in my late 20s and early 30s, so i want to make sure that i can enjoy them without the responsibility of having to take care of children. In the meantime i will fill the void with pets.
Theres also the question of when i'm going to go to school for special effects makeup. I want to make orcs and all sorts of monsters for movies and have wanted to for a long time now, so the answer is clear as day. It's just a matter of when...
I mean i've been apprenticing for over a year now, and i really do still want a career in hair. After i get liscenced i'll have to figure out when is a good time to make the transition with going back to school for special effects makeup. My future is beckoning to me, and i'm really excited for it.

Maaaan! What a weekend...
On Friday night I picked up my cousin-in-law from the airport at around 10:30pm. She flew in for my Dad's surprise 65th bday party. It was uber late, but we were hungry, so Daisy(cousin-in-law), Graeme and I went to Earl's by polo park for a light dinner. It was really nice talking to her during dinner cause we got to catch up on a million things. Between the two of us, we figured out that my cousins on my Dad's side range from age 8 to 50! Her husband is the oldest one that i have. It's pretty crazy to think about.
Later that night, and i mean waaaay LATER! At around 4:30am, some dude called my cell phone and the conversation was soooo weird! This is how it went:

My Dad's party was really good, lots of people came out to surprise him, and he cried and stuff:)
I hung out at work for a bit after cause i'm cool, and then saw Jay very briefly when he went to get food at subway, while on his break.
Later that night was koy's bday and it was pretty fun, but i couldn't stay long. I went home and slept cause i was so exhausted from earlier that day.
Sunday was just spent with my cousin in law, mom and dad, and Graeme. We went to lunch at dim sum garden, and it was funny cause my mom asked graeme if his tattoo was real. He then proceeded to try and rub it off with his finger so she'd believe that it was real.
Anyways, that was it. now i'm getting my roots done at work, and then have a cutting class afterward. Should be good times.
This was a pretty boring update, but an update nonetheless.

What a dismal dismal day!
The weekend was pretty alright though. I went and did some shopping on Friday night and looky what i bought:
-a bright red trash bin for my kitchen
-a set of red and orange dish towels
-a red apron set, complete with pot holder and oven mitts
-a popcorn popper (FINALLY! it took forever to find)
-a pair of hotpink pyjama pants
Saturday at work was really good. Graeme, Jay Evaristo, Jay Hurley, Adam, Molio, and I watched the transporter and then headed to Carlos and Murphy's for some nachos and then called it a night. I think i wanna be a transporter:P That would be sweet.
Sunday, was Dim Sum brunch day as per usual, and this time Ashley and Cole came with us. Dim Sum Garden has THE best loose leaf jasmine tea, and is totally worth the trip for just the tea alone. Afterward, Graeme and i went shopping, and he bought 2 shirts, I also did some shopping and bought myself a fish! I got myself a purple Siamese Fighting fish, and a brand new castle and bowl for him. I don't know what to name him yet, but i'm leaning towards "Falkor", like the luck dragon:) What do you think kiddies?
Bah the battery on my laptop is dying. Gotta go!!!

last night was some good times. Avrinder invited Esther, Steph, and I for some indian food, and lemme tell you something, anything with paneer and rice is basically the best thing ever. soon i wil have some fresh picked coriander to contribute to the assortment of ingredients.
so today after work, my new mattress got delivered. my new queen size pillow top, chiropractic mattress and boxspring are THE BEST THINGS EVER! my back will not longer feel broken and/or stiff when i wake up in the morning. its a lot higher than my old bed too. soooooo sweet!
bah i had lots to write now i'm too lazy and just wanna lie on my new bed, and watch the neverending story for like the 80th time.

What the ass?
So i'm sick yet again. It all started exactly a week ago. This sucks ass so badly. They called me in to work today cause Jill is sick too, and i couldn't go cause i was feeling just as crappy. It sucks being sick one day, good the next, then sick two days later, and then better, then sick again...gah. I mean they're the same sort of symptoms that i keep getting. To top things off, my allergies kicked in yesterday, and i couldn't go 5 minutes without feeling like i had to sneeze.
My mood is just so blah and lame. All i wanna do is sit in my bed and be cuddled.
Other than my current crappy condition. I think that everything is going well. Things between Graeme and I couldn't be better. Work is going well, and i sorta kinda see people that i like to hang out with every now and then. Not as much as i would like, but thats just how it goes i guess. At least for now. Anyways, time for a nap.

Now i'm not chinese, but I thought i'd throw that out there.
Yesterday and last night was super weird. I woke up around 7:30am to get ready for work, and i could tell that i wasn't gonna be feeling 100% throughout the day. So i started drinking lots of water and was hoping to have a good nutritious breakfast but i was in a hurry and forgot to pack my water bottle and eat breakfast:P
Basically a little over halfway through my shift i decided it was time to go home. It was just super frustrating cuase i couldn't make it in for one of my other shifts during the week from feeling so under the weather. I got this really bad case of nausea, upset tummy, and the kind of headache where it feels like your head is stuck in a really tight box, and then just sort of concentrates itself behind your eye somewhere. By the time i got home it felt like some sort of fever had set in, and my skin started to hurt. It was soooo crappy. I was getting dizzy with just standing up, so i just sat in my bed all night. Graeme came over later on and brought me peppermint oil for my headache, and some ningxia red juice, and lemme tell you kiddies, that worked wonders.
I seriously woke up this morning feeling completely normal and awesome. We went for dim sum and Dim Sum Garden around noonish and it was sooooooo busy cause it was chinese new year and everyone and they're mom came for sunday brunch. I was so full! And the best thing about happy hour there is that we basically spent $20 between the two of us and there were even leftovers, since we were so full.
Pineapple buns & jasmine tea=best thing ever.

Hello Everyone!
I don't know if any of you have heard about it, but on June 9-11th, i'm going to be doing the 60k walk for "The weekend to end breast cancer". 60 FREAKING kilometers!!!!!!!!! Do you realize that's walking across the whole city basically about 3 times?!?!?!?!
I'm walking for my mother who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer last september. The minimum goal that CancerCare Manitoba has set is $2000 for each walker. I would really really really like to exceed this goal if it's ok with you guys. I guess what i'm trying to say is, i would like everyone to donate a little bit. Everyone has extra money to buy gear, clothes, fancy phones, and shoes every now and then, so i hope that asking you to donate doesn't come off as a huge deal to everyone. Every little bit helps, and IT'S TAX DEDUCTIBLE!!! plus, you can put the donation on your credit card!!! Yay!!!
Well, i guess that is all. I would really love everyone's help in reaching and exceeding this goal. Do it for my mom, your mom, your best friend, your sister, or anyone else you know that has had to endure the emotional and physical pain of cancer, and so others like us, who care about them can see them back to their old selves again.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so last night my boss's wife calls me from banff and is like "you know we have 2 laptops and 2 wireless internet cards in the house that you can use if you want." So i says to her, i says, "well...i think that would be nice..."
We hung up and i did a wicked awesome dance to celebrate. Free internet and laptops are pretty sweet.
Well time to go!

Just visiting for a short while on the wonderful world of livejournal.
Heres whats been going on in the last little bit.
-My mom has started her radiation treatments, and i think is responding well to it. Obviously her doctors will have the final say as to whether or not she's doing well but other than feeling tired every now and then, she's great.
-I finally got matching bedsheets for my apartment. FINALLY!!!
-In May, i will be going away for 3 weeks. My cousins Jon and Maelene from Calgary, my cousin Maria from L.A, and I will be going to the Philippines. Our Moms are all sisters and they thought it was time we got in touch with our roots on that side of the family. I guess they're right. I mean my cousins and I that are NOT in asia are all super close, and talk to each other all the time, but we never really got in touch with everyone overseas, except maybe one in Japan. I'm nervous because every time we've gone to the philippines before, we've stayed on my Dad's side, which has a lot more money than my mom's side, which means they have air conditioning, proper hot and cold water showers, real cars instead of jeeps and such, credit cards/money for me to use for shopping...
They also live in the city which is a bonus, but my mom's side lives in the country on an old fashioned farm, and i really don't know how well the 4 of us are going to survive. We're all so westernized, i mean even my Lola was looking for a microwave when she went there on a visit, according to my mom. Oh well, it'll be a good experience i think. I know i'll get to visit my Dad's side sooner or later, and we'll be staying there for probably a good week, so that could be good.
-Work is going well. I feel like even when things aren't going so well it's alright, because theres people here who encourage me on my worst days. It's pretty sweet having that sort of support. I've learned a lot in the last couple months especially.
-Once again, i really haven't seen much of anyone lately. I'm planning on making a couple phone calls soon to change that.
-Having a gym at work is pretty sweet. I've started doing pilates at home, and using the treadmill at my boss's house, and some of us at work are going to be possibly be taking kickboxing lessons soon. Yay!
-CSI is my new favourite show. Looks like i've finally caught up with the rest of the world:P
Well i have to go now because it's time for me to get ready for work!
